Over six weeks, students will read a carefully selected, high-interest novel and meet in a small group setting led by Mrs. Erin Trunk. Each session includes: Guided discussion and comprehension strategy work Vocabulary development in context Written response activities to strengthen structured paragraph writing Opportunities for collaboration and peer connection Skill-building in inferencing, theme, and evidence-based thinking Our goal is to help students move beyond simply “finishing a book” to truly understanding it and fostering a love of reading in a warm, supportive environment. Perfect for students who: Enjoy reading and want a deeper challenge Need support with comprehension and written responses Benefit from small-group discussion Are building stamina with longer novels Spots are intentionally limited to maintain a personalized, engaging experience.
