About Us
Our Story
Educational Edge was initially founded in 2020 as Elementary Edge as a way to help parents and students navigate the pandemic school shut downs. Using our passion for helping students achieve their academic and personal goals, we started with a small group of educators dedicated to providing personalized and effective tutoring services that focused on each student's unique needs and learning style. We began by offering our services to elementary school students in our local community, and as word spread, we quickly realized that we were able to support many more students and meet the needs of a much larger demand. Our team grew, and we expanded our services to include a wide range of subjects and grade levels.

One of the most important factors in our success has been our commitment to building strong relationships with our students and their families. We take the time to get to know each student, their strengths and challenges, and what motivates them to succeed. This personalized approach has allowed us to make a real difference in the lives of so many students over the years. Meet The Team
Erica Ritterman - CEO
Erica is a classroom teacher with over 11 years of experience who has always been passionate about creating differentiated lessons and inspiring students to love learning and exhibit a growth mindset. She has a master’s degree in Special Education with a concentration in Autism Spectrum Disorders and is working towards her second master's degree in curriculum and instruction. Erica uses that experience, plus her experience as a mom to her two young children, to understand each child’s unique strengths and needs, and match them with the ideal tutor!
In her free time, Erica enjoys spending time outside and making memories with her husband, 2 kids, and golden retriever.
Dan Ritterman - COO
Dan earned his degree in political science from Penn State University and his JD from Temple Law. He is an entrepreneur at heart, founding MainLineDelivery.com and acting as it’s CEO through acquisition by Square in 2016. Dan has served as an advisor to a number of startups and also advises companies on real estate matters at Tactix Real Estate Advisors. He hosts a weekly podcast “The R5 Connection,” where he shares insight about the real estate happenings in and around Philadelphia.
